What is The Meeting Place Clubhouse?

The Meeting Place Clubhouse is a place for adults with a diagnosed mental health disorder to join their peers and make use of their strengths, talents and abilities. The Clubhouse environment focuses on teamwork, relationships, healthy lifestyles and individual choice. The Meeting Place provides members with opportunities to build long-term relationships that, in turn, support them in obtaining work, education, wellness, housing and friendship. Individuals who participate in the Clubhouse are called Members. Fundamental elements of their participation include openness and choice in type of work activities, choice in staff, access to all Clubhouse services and immediate re-entry after any length of absence.

How To Join

To be eligible, you need to:

  • Have a diagnosed mental health disorder.
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Come in for a tour
  • Complete simple Paperwork

It´s Just That Easy….And it´s FREE!

Tours are given Monday through Friday at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
(except Wednesday at 1:30)

Membership Benefits

The Meeting Place offers members:

  • A work-ordered day in which the talents and abilities of members are recognized and utilized within the Clubhouse;
  • Participation in consensus-based decision making regarding all important matters relating to the running of the Clubhouse;
  • Opportunities to obtain paid employment in mainstream businesses and industries through a Clubhouse-created Transitional Employment Program. In addition, members participate in Clubhouse-supported and independent programs;
  • Assistance in accessing community-based educational resources;
  • Access to crisis intervention services when needed;
  • Opportunities for improved health and wellness through fitness and nutrition
  • Evening/weekend social and recreational events; and
  • Assistance in securing and sustaining safe, decent and affordable housing
